Humanitarian and business leader Strive Masiyiwa to speak at Xynteo Exchange 2019

Strive Masiyiwa, Zimbabwean business leader, entrepreneur and philanthropist, is confirmed as a speaker at this year’s Xynteo Exchange/Norway in Oslo on 9-10 October. 

He is the founder and executive chairman of international telecommunications group Econet Wireless. 

Through his various initiatives, Masiyiwa has provided scholarships enabling over 100,000 young Africans to study at universities around the world, and supports educational initiatives reaching over 40,000 orphans. He also spends time mentoring African entrepreneurs through Facebook, which has recognised his platform as ‘among the most engaged following of any business leader in the world’. 

After the Yara Studio at the 2018 Xynteo Exchange/Norway, Masiyiwa, in collaboration with Yara, launched the programme Generation Africa, which supports agripreneurs with education, technology and capital to scale their ideas and create meaningful jobs for young Africans.

Masiyiwa is also a member of the Africa Progress Panel (APP) of ten distinguished individuals who advocate for sustainable development within African markets. 

As one of the most respected African business leaders and humanitarians today, Masiyiwa has been regularly featured in leading international publications and television programmes, including the Economist, Newsweek, Barron’s of New York, Financial Times and CNN.

At this year's Xynteo Exchange, Masiyiwa will speak at Square 2, kicking off a session aiming to examine those who courageously push boundaries to create a positive impact.
