Xynteo, a specialist advisory firm dedicated to providing decarbonisation, energy transition, and circularity services to the world’s largest companies, announces the appointment of Andy Wales as Vice Chair. Andy also joins Xynteo’s parent company, Leon Capital, as a Senior Advisor.
Andy is one of the most experienced Chief Sustainability Officers in the world, bringing over 25 years of in-house and consulting experience across the full spectrum of sustainability challenges—from net-zero transitions and water security to responsible technology and AI. He has led growth strategies with sustainability at their core for global leaders, including SABMiller, ABInBev, BT, Severn Trent, and Interface Inc., and previously headed Global Sustainability Solutions Development for Accenture. Currently an independent Operating Advisor for private equity firm Advent International, Andy guides portfolio leaders on value creation and sustainability. His track record in innovation is further evidenced by his role as an angel investor and advisor to scale-ups across the energy transition, circular economy, and AI data solutions. A pioneer in multi-sector partnerships, he has co-founded major coalitions to tackle the electric vehicle transition and the redesign of agricultural supply chains. Andy holds an MBA from Warwick Business School and was recognised as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
