A ten-month programme weaving together several tracks of work
Much of your time on the Leadership Vanguard will be spent working closely together in cross-company theme groups.
Three Vanguard partners are investing in three strategic areas for their business: ‘Vanguard Themes’, which are:
- Net-positive facilities (Advance – Unilever and GIF)
- Smart and circular sanitation (Toilet Board Coalition)
- 5G for life-long learning/decarbonising industry (Verizon)
You will be allocated to a theme based on your HR lead’s understanding of your interests and experience as well as your geographic location. Once these theme teams are established, each will agree a working rhythm leading up to the Leadership Vanguard Exchange I in June.

Learn and apply futures tools.

Learn and apply systems thinking methods and tools in context of specific themes and problems.
Team field visits, to generate insights, practice new tools and skills, and build relationships.
Review and build upon insights gathered from field trip.
Structured event to share insights and work-in-progress, shape concepts, learn and practice skills and tools.
June 5th-6th: The Performance Theatre (attendance optional)
Scoping and implementing acceleration support.
Developing post-programme plan and recommendations for participants and projects.
Present final report and recommendations to theme sponsor.
Slack: we use Slack as a tool for collaboration and document sharing during the project. You’ll receive an email invitation to join our Slack workspace before the program starts.
WhatsApp: we use WhatsApp as a general tool for communications among the participants and team members during fieldwork.
