Welcome to the Leadership Vanguard learning library, in partnership with Lectica. Here you will find some useful resources to support your learning journey.
As you know, your Lectical Decision-Making Assessment (LDMA) report highlights opportunities for areas for skill building and development for your group – in the sections titled Growth Edges and Areas of Potential Strength. The coaching programme is designed to support you with targeted goal-setting around these (and other) leadership capabilities you would like to practice during your Vanguard journey. We recommend you share your goals with your coaches and fellow catalysts, to support learning through timely peer feedback.
Virtuous cycles of learning
The skills and practices that underpin your growth edges are developed and continuously reinforced through virtuous cycles of learning (VCoL) – a simple set, seek, apply and reflect habit.
We have partnered with Lectica to explore their VCoL+7 leadership model: the virtuous cycle of learning plus seven skills:
1. reflectivity,
2. awareness,
3. seeking and evaluating information,
4. making connections,
5. applying knowledge,
6. seeking and working with feedback, and
7. recognising and overcoming built in biases.
These skills can be applied in different decision-making contexts, through micro-VCoLs – micro-goals that you can practice in your day jobs, and through interactions with the impact enterprises in your Vanguard theme groups.
The link below will direct you to Lectica’s website, where you will find a rich resource of decision-making skills and capabilities broken down into digestible VCoLs.
Together with your coach, you can select which of these VCOLs you would like to practice as a part of your learning objectives. We hope they will help you to connect the recommendations in your LDMA reports, to the learning opportunities presented in your daily lives and through the interactions with impact entrepreneurs.

A few simple steps to access the VCoL Library
Step 1
The button below will direct you to a login page where you can enter the username and password to sign in.

Step 2
From there you will land on this page and should now click on the arrow inside the “Your assessments” box to access the skills library (see screenshot below).
Step 3
You are now inside the skills library. You can select which skill you would like to practise using the button shown below. Once you have selected a skill (e.g. “VUCA - Decision-making process”) you can scroll down to read suggested practices to further develop that skill.
Step 4
Scrolling further down the page, you will reach a section containing suggested “micro-VCoLs” for the particular skill you have selected. You can browse additional micro-VCoLs by clicking on the button shown in the screenshot below.
