Xynteo was tasked with designing and facilitating a multi‑stakeholder workshop to convene key actors across India’s tyre value chain, to align on challenges in End‑of‑Life Tyre management and co‑creating practical pathways to accelerate a circular tyre ecosystem in the country.
The tyre industry in India plays a pivotal role in the automotive sector but contributes significantly to vehicle emissions through its lifecycle—from raw material extraction and manufacturing to end-of-life disposal.
A major challenge in India lies in the End-of-Life Tyre (ELT) management, where improper handling leads to environmental hazards, resource wastage, and lost opportunities for circularity. To address these issues, a multi-stakeholder workshop was convened, bringing together ecosystem players to share knowledge, align strategies, and co-create solutions for sustainable tyre production and ELT management.

The initiative
The key objectives for the engagement:
- Sharing best practices: Enabling tyre OEMs and other stakeholders to showcase proven strategies in emissions reduction, sustainable materials, and circular economy models.
- Building collaborative foundations: Establishing priorities for cross-sector action, including regulatory advocacy, supply chain integration, and consumer awareness.
- Addressing systemic barriers: Tackling challenges in ELT management, such as informal sector formalisation, recycling technology gaps, and enforcement of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes.

Xynteo served as the strategic partner and facilitator, ensuring the workshop delivered actionable insights and fostered long-term collaboration. Key contributions included:
- Workshop design: Curating an agenda that balanced knowledge sharing, interactive discussions, and forward-looking ideation to maximise engagement and output from the diverse participant group.
- Studio design: Creating an immersive, collaborative environment that encouraged open dialogue, breakout sessions, and visual storytelling to break down silos and spark innovation.
- Workshop synthesis: Post-event analysis and distillation of discussions into a cohesive report, highlighting key themes, priorities, and actionable recommendations to sustain momentum beyond the session.
