Norwegian producer, director and screenwriter Gry Molvær Hivju, together with her husband Kristofer Hivju, best known as “Tormund Giantsbane” from HBO’s Game of Thrones, are confirmed as speakers at the Xynteo Exchange on 9th-10th October in Oslo.
Gry, a journalist, director, producer and screenwriter, created the documentary Bit Ballerina Bulldog and was formerly the host of the popular Norwegian science TV show “Schrødingers katt”. Kristofer, an actor, producer and screenwriter, has become a household name and one of Norway’s most famous actors, since taking on the Game of Thrones role.
At this year’s Exchange, the Hivjus will speak during Square 3: “We Must Combine Forces”, wrapping up two intensive days of analysing the major problems facing global businesses, then designing solutions to them. Among other topics, Square 3 explores collaboration and what it means to combine forces, given that individuals have rarely shifted entire systems alone.
We’ll hear from the Hivjus in the session “A World of Heroes”.
The couple will reflect on the power of ambition; and working together to drive the change we want to see in the world, drawing on inspiration from Game of Thrones' Wildings.
The couple live out the principle of powerful collaboration. Gry’s new television series TWIN, starring her husband, will premiere on the Norwegian national broadcaster NRK this autumn. To accomplish this, the Hivju family has travelled around the world, living together on sets with their two young children, Molvær Hivju told NRK earlier this year.
