Xyntéo Analysis Services
Our analysts form a pivotal part of our team. Their work ensures that our low-carbon growth projects are founded on solid data. Xyntéo analysts are currently mapping emission hotspots in the energy value chain to try to integrate carbon into decision-making. They are assessing the carbon footprint of natural gas across its entire life- cycle to determine how it can help bring us closer to a low-carbon energy mix. They are trying to find out how businesses can grow without putting more carbon into the atmosphere.
We are engaged in an increasing number of large-scale projects with a range of international partners. To carry out this exciting work, we are recruiting talented, forward-thinking analysts with a solid understanding of environmental life-cycle assessment and life-cycle cost analysis, and the ability to develop and present projects and concepts to our partners and clients.
We are looking for Life-Cycle Analysts to specialise in our shipping, ICT, energy and retail strands of work. Core requirements for each strand are listed below.
SHIPPING
- A master’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline and five years’ work experience in the maritime cluster
- Strong ability to analyse shipping-related environmental challenges from a life-cycle perspective
- Strong interest in solving business-related environmental challenges, particularly maritime cluster greenhouse gas emissions
ICT
- Academic qualifications in engineering or economics
- Demonstrated expertise in understanding and documenting the opportunities of using smart ICT solutions to reduce the carbon footprints and other environmental effects of industries beyond the ICT industry itself Broad understanding of how different market players are positioning themselves with various products, services and alliances to address these challenges across entire value chains
ENERGY
- Good understanding of the environmental implications (especially greenhouse gas-related) and industrial implications of all steps in the energy value chain, from the extraction of raw materials to the planning, construction, operation, maintenance and decommissioning of power plants (fossil, renewable and nuclear)
- Insight into the transmission, distribution, storage and final consumption of electricity Understanding of the major political and regulatory trends shaping the energy industries
RETAIL
- Academic and/or practical experience of analysing the environmental and industrial implications of sustainable manufacturing, distribution, consumption and waste management from a life-cycle perspective
- A thorough understanding of major sustainability initiatives in the retail sector and in developing new projects which can improve the carbon footprints of typical retail businesses
Working environment
We work in diverse and interdisciplinary project teams. We enjoy a creative and open-minded working environment which we project through our three values: courage, care and collaboration. Our working language is English.
