THE XYNTEO EXCHANGE/INDIA2022

The Xynteo Exchange/India2022, hosted by TechnipFMC, is an annual event of the India2022 Coalition. Leaders from business, the start-up community, academia, research institutions and government collaborate on tackling today’s biggest challenge – that is, how to create a new growth model that delivers commercial and economic value while solving human problems.

Xynteo catalysed India2022 – a purpose driven global business coalition committed to leverage the power of collaboration. Launched in March 2017, India2022 was given the blessings of the then, President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee who praised the coalition as “the need of the hour”. The Coalition is working to unlock a new model of growth, in line with the 75th year of India’s independence. Xynteo, together with the Coalition founding partners, The Aditya Birla Group, Hindustan Unilever, Cyient, Shell, GE, Tata Trusts, Tech Mahindra and TechnipFMC, is committed to advancing practical projects at the intersection of human need and commercial opportunity. The India2022 Coalition is harnessing the combined strength of purposeful leaders in the areas of energy, waste, sanitation, healthcare and sustainable mining to support the momentum of growth in the country.

THE SQUARE

10:00 – 12:00

Crystal Room

Over the past few centuries, our growth model has catalysed enormous progress. But this growth model is no longer fit for our needs – or those of generations to come. In many ways, it has become a destructive force, promoting short-term wins over long-term prosperity, compromising natural resources and widening exclusion. India is the crucible for reinventing growth, where we can connect capital talent and ideas to achieve our mission.

We must – and can – grow differently

To grow differently, we must accelerate new ideas at the intersection of human need and commercial opportunity, and develop and deploy new capital and talent to bring these ideas to scale. We are bringing global and Indian perspectives to imagine the India we want to achieve by 2022 and beyond – powered by practical projects and a new generation of leaders.

In our Studios, we will forge innovative partnerships to incubate ideas for commercial solutions to real problems. We will work together to identify the end state we wish to see and map the systems to guide the development of early-stage concepts that can eventually be taken to market.

To grow differently we know that we must – and can – think differently. Each studio follows an India2022 impact track theme. We will be split into four studios.

16:45 – 17:45

To truly reinvent growth as we know it, we must do so together. That means reaching far beyond the natural boundaries of our day-to-day tribes, to hear the voices that are often left unheard, to be comfortable engaging with those who have radically different perspectives from our own, and to be willing to give up something of ourselves, to make it possible to find common ground and take action together.

To grow differently we know that we must – and can – act differently. We draw the Exchange to a close, ready to go back out into the world with a fresh perspective, new energy – and a commitment to practical collaboration to advance our mission in India.

THE MARKETPLACE

12:15 – 13:15

Ballroom

It is only when new ideas, capital and talent find each other, connect and combine, that they sustain and  scale. This has long been the traditional role of the marketplace. But the markets that we work with, and  within, today are outdated. Their signals are misleading or incomplete. We believe that there can be a different kind of marketplace. One that fosters new ideas, capital and talent – and brings them together in  new and powerful ways. All projects showcased here have the ability to scale impact and innovate across  India.

To grow differently we know that we must – and can – scale differently.

Leaders from across our community, including India2022 partners, start ups, big business and civil society will showcase their projects.

From Speaker’s Corner we will take inspiration from leaders who offer their own experience and reflections of connecting, talent capital and ideas for a new kind of growth
