TCS hosting London GLTE

31/01/2011

On 6-7 April Xyntéo is teaming up with Tata Consultancy Services to host the London GLTE. TCS CEO N. Chandrasekaran will be among the headline speakers.

At this exchange, being staged in the cradle of the Industrial Revolution, we will look to the next great turning point for humanity: the low-carbon revolution. The London programme will approach the subject from a new angle, starting with an attempt to build “20/20” vision of what this new economy will actually look like – the concrete ways in which tomorrow’s business climate will differ from today’s as a result of the push to decarbonise human activity.

The sessions that follow will seek to identify practical opportunities and potential stumbling blocks along the journey to realising this vision. How can leaders harness low-carbon innovations – in ICT, energy, transportation, infrastructure, finance, supply chain management and sustainable consumption – to steam ahead of competitors? How can collaboration – between businesses, between businesses and government and between industrialised and developing countries – accelerate and scale up change.

The second day will culminate with a CEO forum made up of the leaders of GLTE partner companies. Their mandate will be to sketch out a blueprint for the type of leadership needed to build this new future.

The programme will be based at multiple venues in central London, primarily Westminster. All of the sites will complement the programme, drawing on the unique place occupied by London and the UK within the history of industrialisation and their current and future contribution to low-carbon innovation.
