15 Jan Gabrielle Walker’s “Antarctica” publishes in USA
“Antarctica is about as tough as continents get”, writes Xyntéo’s chief scientist Gabrielle Walker in an article for the Wall Street Journal, ahead of the publication of her book today (15 January) in the USA.
In her piece for the WSJ, Gabrielle underlines that Antarctica is tough enough – and aloof enough – not to be phased by the effects of planetary warming; but warns that the continent’s warming would result in a nasty sting in the tail for us humans. “If the melting Antarctic ice floods the subways of New York and London and Shanghai, we’ll be the ones in trouble”, she writes.
Antarctica has attracted widespread acclaim since its publication in the UK in March 2012.
